Jeff Thomas says it won't be Mike Leach. He'd like for UMass to take a look at Ben Albert who is a position coach at Temple after spending a year in the NFL.

Either a 43 or 28 year streak is going to be broken when Northern Illinois and Ohio meet for the MAC Championship Friday.

I'm continually amused by people who think a coach like Leach would be bad...but a coach like Albert or McGovern would be good.

So Thomas' reason for saying Leach wouldn't come to UMass is money, yet Thomas has no idea why Leach wasn't hired by schools that could offer him more than UMass could. Perhaps he doesn't actually care about money as much as other people?

Let's just wait to see who the committee gets and hope it's not Reid, Albert or McGovern.

Also, any word if McCutcheon has reached out to the White Coaches and Administrators? Wonder what their criteria for grading is and how UMass did last time.
