Matty V. has a story on Jimmy Reid, still, in my opinion, one of the finest men ever to breath air. Reid's Virginia bio here.

Article on Reid by the Roanoke Times here.

Keepers College Football rankings has UMass at #52.

He also has JMU (ranked #26 ) over UMass by 4+

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

UMass does not receive any votes in the latest FCS Coaches Poll.

The Minutemen were dead last, receiving 1 vote, in the TSN poll. JMU is ranked #19.

Maine has put in bids for first and second round games in the FCS playoffs.

Looks like the strength of the MAC is in the West Division this year.

Temple still thinks they have a shot at a bowl game.

I miss college.

Sacramento State professor walks out when his students didn't bring him any snacks.

Hey Frank,

With Saturday's game being the last game in Amberst ( for the foreseeable future), I thought we could share our favorite games/ moments here. I'll start...

1) Any game I attended with my Grandfather.
2) Spanking UConn in last FCS meeting.
3) Playoff win in 98 against Lehigh and 06 against UNH.
4) meeting some of the best friends I've known.
5) Watching George Parks conduct his Marching Band.

Good idea!

We could also do a "Memorable" UMMB performances also.

I was at the UMass 27-7 win over Boston College.

The "Miracle at McGurik' fourth quarter comeback win over UConn was great.

This would be a good source for blog posts this Spring.

I'm always scrambling for material in April/May :)

Any game over the last few years sitting in McGirk watching UMASS play is a good memory.

Sitting in Band Parents Section 8 with pride for a couple years watching my son perform with the best marching band in the USA was a good memory, George Parks is sorely missed.

Saw some good slug out games against Northeastern...

Sure miss those long rifle arms of Coen and Havens......good old days.
