Sunday before Richmond--Oct 10th, 2010
The big news for UMass was the injury situation for next week's opponent Richmond.
This article says Richmond expects to start third-string QB Nick Hicks against UMass next week.

In the strength-of-schedule race, UMass did pretty good.
William & Mary ran its win total to five with a 26-7 victory over Rhode Island.
Holy Cross beat Brown. The Crusaders are making a pretty good comeback after a disastrous start.
Stony Brook won 27-9 over VMI.
Michigan lost to Michigan State 34-17. That result leaves the Wolverines at 5-1.
Towson gave JMU a battle before falling 17-13.
UMass opponents are 16-13 collectively. William & Mary may be a top-five team in FCS. Stony Brook has a good shot at the Big South title.
