Game Day --Kansas State

Well, UMass is matched with another BCS team, 2012 Big 12 Champion Kansas State. I've followed the Minutemen to Manhattan, KS twice. Once, UMass was run over by future NFL All-Pro Darren Sproles. During that game, I sat with a bunch of L.A. Love's relatives who had made the trip up from Texas. The second time UMass really made a game of it. We ran the ball effectively and were down by five points with time left in the fourth quarter.

Let's shake off last week, both players and fans. Any BCS team is a big challenge  for a MAC team. Last year the MAC's best team NIU, lost to 4-8 Iowa. The Huskies edged Iowa this year. We're  literally not playing in our league until MAC play starts.

A win is not likely, but let's give a good effort and get some stuff ready for the league season.

As always, Go UMass!!

UMass looks for positive growth after a slow start.

Kansas State quarterbacks are double-trouble.

Dan Malone has a UMass flashback from 2009.

He also has where to catch today's game. WEEI's live streaming website.

Matty V. says Coach Molnar hopes for a rebound against the Cats.

ESPN3 has most of the league's game available online.

UMass is not the only MAC team with a load to carry this weekend.

Kent State gets #8 LSU.

Akron gets Michigan.

Eastern Michigan gets Rutgers.

Western Michigan gets #16 ranked Northwestern.

North says Victor Cruz and West Welker are tops in their field.

Broncos CB Chris Harris says he's ready for Victor Cruz.
