Man was it COLD! I went to the Montana game and don't remember being that cold. I just wish we could have the Richmond and Maine games back; I think both games were win-able. In my opinion, the Bryant game was a waste as it really served no purpose. We knew the win wouldn't help us and maybe a bye week would have served us better. Of course, hind-sight is 20-20. It doesn't seem right not seeing the Minutemen in the playoff brackets but that expectation is a tribute to these seniors for raising the bar to that height. Thank you so much seniors for all the memories you've given us; you've left your mark on UMass Football and changed our expectations for ever.
As an alum who loves his alma mater, and has been a season ticket holder for over thirty years, I am prompted to comment about something "topsfieldfan" wrote: "...and changed our expectations forever." After all these years MY expectations were that UMass would be playing at a much higher level of football. When I see the names of some of the schools in this year's playoffs I wonder what UMass is doing in this crowd. Because of my feelings the drive from eastern Mass. to Amherst gets longer each passing season.

Saturday was cold, but it wasn't as cold as it was against Northeastern in 1987.
Anyone have the "unofficial" or official schedule for 2009?
Thanks...
