Rivals.com reports UMass has offered to Maurice Hurst, Jr, a 6-2 285 pd DT from Xaverian Brothers in MA.

If molnar could land an in state prospect like this it would make a huge statement. 6'2" 285 running a 4.8 are BCS attributes though, this kid is an absolute stud

Multiple news outlets have Temple close to returning to the Big East in football and (most likely) in other sports as well. Where does this leave UMASS? I believe they will also end up in the Big East but who knows when this will take place. In any event, this takes some of the luster off of the MAC deal as we stick out as an "eastern shore thumb".

Temple leaving the MAC isn't the best news, but I think we'll be able to stay there and have the MAC serve as a safe haven until something else (BE) comes around. I believe that Buffalo is now the closest geographical rival.
