Happy new year to everone. Yesterday I searched for any info on what direction Temple was going - CUSA or the MAC. I couldn`t find anything in an on-line newspaper or message board where the conference Temple would play next year was discussed. I hope this means Temple will be staying in the MAC.

Just watched Miami and Notre Dame game today. Wow, I do not want Whipple back as head coach here!
I take back everything I have ever said! Miami's offense looked bad today. All that talent and cant score? Keep Morris and offensive staff! Defense needs to go. Get someone in here that can run Brown's style of defense from the other night and we will be fine!

While you are certainly entitled to your own opinion re Whipple, could you say exactly (specifically) what it was that you didn't like about Whipple's coaching when he was at UMass?

Ahh, you realize everybody got hurt at QB at Miami this year and Whip is coaching a confused true freshman QB and still did well enough to get the Hurricanes into a bowl?

One loss means Whipple can't coach?

one loss? check the losses again my friend. I think they said on tv that miami lead the country in interceptions, gave up like 50 sacks! C'mon he has best of the best players in the country and that is the product on the field!
And everyone got hurt at Qb? the started threw 4 interceptions I think. The backup started a few games this year already! Bad offense. Period.

Defense needs to go? What games did you watch this year? the Richmond game where ther offense was in the red zone 6 times? Whipple would wathc that game and throw up in disgust. Tyler Holmes received every honor that has been handed out. Defense had 6 freshman starters. Now next year if the defense doesn't produce, you have a point. But don't go praising the offense when they had all these transfers, upperclassmen, and the defense had to take offense players to play on denfense, with 6 freshman. Lets support UMASS coaches and players, if you look at Browns program in the first 2 years this staff is going at the same pace. It will happen. GO UMASS!!!!

I'm surprised that Whipple is not HC of a major program. I don't think he would come back to UMass unless the facilities and the budget were significantly improved.

#1 (defense)FAN, last time I checked the only freshman that started where 2 defensive backs I believe , not 6. Again, like been said before, offense got it done this year when everyone said they could'nt, you pick one game that they didnt play well. I think the defense had a chance to win it at the end and they couldnt finish! Fact. I watched game like you too. Offense steady whole season, defense got worse...nuff said. and if it wasnt for Holmes! they would be in a lot of trouble on Defense
