I've blogged about Dowling before.
This article by NorthJersey.com has a long article on Dowling's verbal to UMass.
Dowling had 3,293 career yards rushing and 52 TD's. In his senior season he accounted for 2,032 yards of offense. Dowling went 203-1604 and 21 TD's rushing and 28-428 and 8TD's receiving. He also ran back punts and kickoffs.
Welcome to the Minutemen, Brian!

Kinda sounds like the guy from Nova, Matt Sczur! I hope he is half
as good and i'd be very happy!
Welcome, though who knows where he will play.
the only question I have is do we hire whipple first or announce the move up to the mac. going to be fun to be a umass fan over the next few years. These deals are done, Morris will be given a job in the athletic department or be compensated for his efforts. some of the staff will stay and have coached with whipple before or are familiar with him.
frank how do you let idiots like this post
Looks like a prime addition to the team. Maybe there is hope of a replacement to Griffin after all.
Griffins replacement is already on the team..#5
Jamar Smith #5 is gonna b a beast he will Def fill shoes of Griffin and after a lil maturation b better than griffin and hernandez !
This kid is worth every bit of time spent on his recruitment. At first sight he looks ordinary but he is phenomena, catching the ball and hitting the holes. In my opinion he was the best all-around player in the tristate. Dont overlook this light-weighted kid with such HUGE talents
This kid is much more than advertised. Stats alone cannot describe the talent this kid posseses. Easily could be a top Division 1 player, if not for his weight. This kid posses everything a successfull player needs and i look for him to play very well.
