After reading the ESPN MIAA All-state team, it seems to me that there is a whole lot of talent right here in the state that should be recruited and cultivated. I have to think that if the majority of these boys were living in Florida, they would be considered legitimate FCS players and would therefore have multiple offers, hither and yawn. Many of the key contributors this year are
home-bred and will prove to be excellent in the coming seasons. Nothing against Florida, and I understand the rich pool of players to be cherry-picked, and that the grass really is greener in Florida, but we have our own means of subsistance, and players who have consistently proven their acumen and worth over time. Go UMass!
