Six home games in 2009!

Jeff Thomas reports that UMass has arranged six home games in 2009. The previously scheduled Sept 12th game at Albany has been switched to a home game.

He reports:
  • Sept 5th @ Kansas State
  • Sept 12th Albany
  • Sept 19th Rhode Island
  • Sept 26th Stony Brook
  • October 3rd Open
  • October 10th @ Delaware
  • October 17th New Hampshire
  • October 24th @ Richmond
  • October 31st @ Maine
  • November 7th Northeastern
  • November 14th James Madison
  • November @ Hofstra
Nice schedule. The three September games are sure to be night games and should bring a good crowd. Kudos to the Athletic Dept for getting the Albany game moved!

I attended only two home football games at RIU and the facilities are woefully inadequate. Most high school facilities are in better condition and better suited to football than the dump RI plays in. I would not go there again.

URI's field is improved but not great. The sightlines are good. I'm surprised the University didn't build larger facilites when they renovated. But waht about Northeastern's facilities? Talk about high school....
