Anyone else find it weird people complain about every single recruit?

Kid's clearly on a different level than his high school competition. Study hard for those SATs, Jamar.

Yeah. the comments are coming from trolls not UMass fans.

Can't be much going on in their lives, if they have to hang around our site.

Hell. any kid that wants to obtain a college degree and has "normal" intelligence can succeed at UMass or 95% of the schools in the nation. The catch is to do the work, do it on time, and use the support services aloted to athletes. If he does this he will play on us!

if he does have academic problems, he will not be the first to come here and have sucess in the classroom and also on the field. welcome aboard and go umass.

Correct, if a player has academic problems entering the programs, there is no excuse to flunk out because there are so many services available to each and every scholarship player or walkon. If anything, more succeed that fail here.

I Live in Binghamton where Mr. Jamar Smith is from. I also knew him when he was a bit younger. He is a great kid who works hard. I have no doubt that he will step up and do well on his SATs. Umass fans should be excited about this young athlete, he will not disappoint. I was hoping he would go Syracuse. So now I will def. be a Umass Fan at least for the next few years.
