I HAVE READ SOME OF THE COMMENTS ON THIS BOARD AND THE NEGATIVITY NEEDS TO GO!

Here is why my son went to Umass:
''Last year, I went back to UMass, where we won a national championship,'' Whipple said. 'It was a 10-year reunion and so many of those kids came up to me and said, `Thank you for what you did for myself and my family 10 years ago.' I feel like we could have the same thing here. I miss that part of it. The NFL life is great -- it's all football. But I really missed a lot of the teaching, developing young people.''

BECAUSE THE MAN (COACH) CARED!!!

GET BEHIND THIS COACHING STAFF NOW,LET THEM DEVELOP YOUNG MEN WHO HAVE CHARACTER AND INTEGRITY. GO MEET THE COACHES AND THERE WIVES, I DID! I WENT TO THE GAMES AND TAILGATED DONATE TO THE FOOTBALL TEAM,GO INTO THE COMMUNITY AND GET THEM ALL INVOLVED IN WEARING UMASS SHIRTS ON GAME DAY!GO TO AS MANY GAMES AS POSSIBLE. MEET THE FANS TAILGATE WITH THEM.
BE PROUD TO GET A GOOD EDUCATION FROM YOUR STATE UNIVERSITY.
FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE NO CLUE ABOUT THE FLORIDA RECRUITING THE BROWARD DADE ALL STAR WEEK IS WERE UMASS HAS THE ABILITY TO SEE THE BEST TALENT IN THOSE TWO COUNTIES IN ONE PLACE. ALOT OF THE RECRUITS WHO COME TO UMASS PLAY IN THAT GAME. MY SON WOULD HAVE NEVER COME TO UMASS IF MARK WHIPPLE HAD NOT TALKED TO ME AT THE FIRST PRACTICE FOR THAT GAME. WE HAD NO CLUE WHO UMASS WAS BEFORE THAT!

BE A PART OF THE SOLUTION NOT THE PROBLEM!!!!!

Pass this sentence on to the AD.

I believe they practice for at least a weak. That means we need a coach down there for 1 week meeting the parents and players. You should know the dates of the all star games. Buy your tickets months in advance and book your hotel reservations yourself instead of paying travel agency commissions and you can save a lot of $. Hiring inexperienced coaches also saves $.

Albany punished while still no action taken against USC for using a well documented ineligible player. Oh NCAA, you so crazy!
