I heard Liam dislocated his left shoulder. Does anyone know just how serious this type of injury is?

I was a bit disappointed that the best rush of the day by UMass was given to the 1998 Championship team at halftime. For starters, these guys WERE NATIONAL CHAMPIONS! Let's get them on the field and in position before we call names, or call them to mid-field one at a time, or have them take their old position on the field.

Second, let's give them room so some decent photos can be taken, without a band member or bass drum in the way. (I love the band, and the job Mr. Parks does, but this was the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM!)

Third, where was the trophy? That would have been a nice touch. Why? Because they were NATIONAL CHAMPIONS! That's why! They were, and are, a very special team and should have been treated, in my opinion, as such with more time and respect. Not a rush job.

I agree with topsfieldfan… the presentation of the '98 team could have and should have, been much, much better than it was; quite honestly it was on par with all the other presentations that are done on the field during timeouts, etc. and that was really a shame; I assume it was an athletic department decision; they should know better; UMass and it's athletic department (and I suspect most of their students and alumni) have historically had a very difficult time understanding the important role of intercollegiate athletics in creating a stronger university; it's absolutely true; across the country, most outstanding public universities have outstanding athletic programs and the alumni respond to that. It's no accident.

Frank...Thanks for the pic's...you will also notice on picture 15 there was an illegal leg whip or tripping on Collier by number 54 on Richmond. (you will see Collier heading for the ground on his back-looks like he was stunting left.. That looks like the big run that Richmond had in the first quarter. Take that play out and the fumble that we took away that was ruled down(it was a take-away)and you never know. Richmond however, was a good and powerful team. Can't argue that.

According to Matty Vautour he injured his left (non-throwing) elbow and is day-to-day for the next game.

In the NFL the tackle on Liam would have been called roughing the passer. I am surprised no-one, not even the announcers commented about it.

No one cares about our football team because all the students are tree hugging liberals
