The UMass Athletic Dept has a revised Spring Football Roster up.
Some pleasant surprises here!
- Kevin Macon is back. He was a highly rated OL recruit who made the traveling squad as a true freshman. He should be mix for a starters position this year.
- Kumar Davis is listed in the 2008 recruits. Davis had signed a LOI with UMass, but was not listed among the recruits on the February press release. He was a Rivals and Scout.com Two star recruit. His addition makes a strong 2008 recruiting class even stronger.
- Jared Chivers---A former scout teams player who was invited to join the regular roster in 2007 now joins in '08
- Spencer Whipple-- Son of former UMass coach Mark Whipple. Adds a second left-handed QB to the UMass roster.
- Theluxon Pierre--Former UMass LOI recruit spent two years with Dean Junior College. Should make the DL even deeper.
- Andrew Kervis-- has been moved to TE as reported in several blog comments.

Corey Eason not listed on roster??
If Macon has a mean side he ahs the potential to be special. I really enjoy watching the OL dominate.
Theluxon Pierre was 6-4 240 lb TE for Dean College as a sophomore. He is a 6-3 260 lb DL for us! Both weights are probably high.
Seems light to play DT for us. Is he going to RS this year to build up his weight/strength? What position is he expected to play for us?
I heard a while ago that Eason was doing some of the things at umass that got him run out of B.C. I don't expect to see him next year. Thats just my feeling.. Not a word from anyone i know at umass
I noticed Jonathan Richard is no longer on the roster as well...
Yeah, it seems very suspect that Eason was on the roster one day and gone the next. I wonder what's going on. Harrington has gained some thirty pounds.
