Jason Cherry kicks for the Huntington Heroes

Kudos to UMass Football Blog reader who left this link to a story about former UMass kicker Jason Cherry kicking for the Huntington Heroes Arena team. The original comment is in the Chris Koepplin blog post.

The Heroes web page is here .

Cherry's UMass bio page is still available here .

Jason's seven PAT's against Georgia Southern in 1998 is a UMass postseason PAT record that is likely to stand for some time.

UPDATE: Cherry also holds the record for the longest field goal in UMass postseason history (34 yards against Furman in 1999)

Blogspot was down for quite a bit this morning. I just got the blog post in and then Blogspot went out for most of the morning.

I could not even access the blog, let alone log in to work on it.

Comments probably was not working as well.

I've been looking at GoDaddy.com as a blog host. I'll probably shift the UMass Football blog to another web host sometime this summer. I'll have to pay, but Blogger is really a pain in the a$$ to work with. It'll be worth the money to have tech support and a reliable server.

Actually chris koepplin holds the longest field goal in post season history for UMass with 43 yarder against Montana, 42 yarder vs App St, and his 46 yarder this year @ Southern Illinois.
