I wasn't surprised that Coen didn't make the Draft. His speed and height isn't NFL quality. He demonstrated last season that he doesn't do well without a superior offensive line in front of him. He does have a good arm and is fairly accurate with his passing and showed strong leadership on the field over the years, but that can be said of the QB who got the call! I hope he gets a chance to make a scout team to have the opportunity to prove himself like he said!
How would you like the OL to get better? They are the best unit on the team.
HAHAHHA they sucked last year. Besides Ducasse who led the team in penalties last year who was consistent? Everyone was hurt? Never had a consistent line up from week to week.
That doesn't mean they were bad. Regardless of who played, they were very good. You obviously pay no attention to the OL unit.
In making the first post I am not suggesting the OL unit was bad. I am suggesting that the unit wasn't as good as in the past three years. This was refected in Coen's stats this past season. In addition, I think the schedule was tougher this season as the opponents as a whole seemed to be better(JMU & RU) or improved(Maine & NHU). Keep in mind, this is just my opinion after attending seven of the contests and I am not a football expert.
Or maybe Coen wasn't as good as past years. He was playing hurt the entire season.
My son plays QB at Umass and I for one know that Liam played with a lot of arm and elbow pain all of last season. He is not only a gutsy kid but a very likeable guy and I wish him all the best!
give me the kid who is an arrogant S.O.B who gets the job done. you keep the likeable one
