The Boston College Blog "BC Interruption" does a UMass preview. It's a fair and non-snarky look at the Minutemen from their perspective. I think the game will be closer and I'll detail that when I do a BC preview.

That BC interruption article does not mention any of the new guys Whipple brought in other than FRO.
I hope Harris, Sifrin, Nesmith, Kenney, Michel take that as a sign of disrespect. Its as if these guys are not expected to do much at all. I have a feeling they will know at least some of those names after kickoff. UMASS D will need to stop the run but if UMASS takes an early 2 TD lead and forces BC to throw it could be a trap game for BC.

I guess they don't expect Harris Sifrin, Kenney, Nesmith to have any impact

Everybody knows UMass struggled against the run while playing the 3-4 defense last year.

I expect most teams, especially the four BCS teams to run right at us until we prove we can handle it.
