Thursdat--September 15, 2011

Good Morning from San Francisco.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Two articles about Kellen Pagel being named starting QB for the Rhode Island game: Matty V. here and Jeff Thomas here.

The UMass Daily Collegian has an article on Pagel's promotion here.

Matty also reports that LB Stanley Andre is injured, but the rest of the Minutemen roster will be available for the Rams game.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rhody has their game notes up for the UMass game: html here and .pdf here.

BTW, the Rams have a three game win streak against the Minutemen in Kingston. Rhode Island has not won in Amherst since 10/12/91 when they topped UMass 17-14.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Keepers College Football ratings has UMass a 1 point favorite over Rhode Island.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

TSN has two stories about FCS football:

Gordie Lockbaum talks about his days as a two way player for Holy Cross.

Sean Shapiro previews week #3 in FCS and predicts a Minuteman victory.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Victor Cruz had a critical drop during his last game for the Giants.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Some big games for MAC teams this week. Temple is at Penn State and Toledo plays #4 Boise State at the Glass Bowl. MAC report online has a capsule for all the MAC games this week.
