from up in the Top Roww

Wanted to wait n see what others thought of the C Ct game. Seems like this game generated an assortment of opinions.

Would agree w Top UMass Fan about our QB situation. Obviously doing so will tick off the B Hill supporters(or his family n friends) but it seems like yes he does have agood arm but could be better in other areas. At times he looked good and at other times you could sit anywhere in the stadium and see the gears turning in his head as he tried to figure out what to do. His lack of movement in the pocket crtainly has to improve. As a running QB - well won;t even comment on that since it needs to be shown he can run. Pagel runs n moves a lot better in the pocket but he also seems to take unnecessary chances on some of his throws.

Would be wonderful if we could take parts of both and turn them into one QB.

What also was really concerning is that in the 4th period it was 28-26 and then we pull away w/ a kick return and a int. for 6. Our run game was not anywhere near what it should have been. At the same C Ct lost to James Madison 14-9 (or something close to that) so maybe this teams just plays better against better teams.

Overall this was a weird game for those in the Top Roww. Yes it was a win but a win that was hardly what we expected. Hoping S Viveros comes back and bring his physical style of play to the secondary - we sure need it.

As for this week we hope UMass continues to improve. Our guess is a shootout style game and some may call us crazy but we re going w/ the little guy in the Top Roww's prediction

UMass 23 Delaware 22 in OT.

PS - Hope to see a lot of folks at Gillette against UNH.

Pagel's first year reminds me of Havens' first year. He lacks experience, and judgment, and forces throws.
