With UMass moving to the MAC and Rhode Island cutting scholarships and dropping down to the NEC, this will probably the last meeting between the two schools. The series began in 1903 and has been played 85 times---the most of any UMass opponent. The Minutemen hold a 47-36-2 lead in wins.
