UMass has named Joe Tricario as special teams coordinator. Tricario has experience as DC at both Stony Brook and Fordham. Also coached in the CFL with the Toronto Argonauts.
Also new is Tyler Moody, who comes over from Amherst College as Assistant Linebackers Coach.

HC Kevin Morris will speak at the New York UMass Association on May 26th regarding UMass football.

UMass has picked Timothy Todd Anderson as the new UMass Marching Band director. Anderson comes from Cal State Fresno.

Tyler Moody is no longer with the staff as he left for another opportunity. He was only here during the 2010 season. Wish the best of luck to Tyler!!
Matt Vautour is one the least informative people about UMass football. For "covering" UMass sports he didn't realize Tyler Moody has been on the staff the past two years as an assistant offensive line coach, and has now left for Stonehill College. When he was at Amherst College he was an assistant linebackers coach. Matty V must be doing his coverage pro bono because his columns aren't worth a dime.
On a positive note I hope this special teams coordinator does a great job. Our return game flourished last year and kickoff team (coverage part) was good and could be great if we get solid kicking on it.
I'd recheck the info on Tyler Moody, He worked for the team the past year or so but left for another job.
You are a season late on Moody. He was with the team last year.
OK, the way Matty phrased it, I thought Moody had returned. He is still on the UMass website roster.
So has Steve tirrell been demoted?? What's his stays now on defense???
