Friday News --- 05/08/09

The first 2009 Pre-season All-American team has been published by Consensus Draft Services. the Appalachian State Web site has the list here (I couldn't find the original source material on Consensus Draft Services site). They list a number of UMass players including Vladimir Ducasse on the First Team.

Jeromy Miles is not on the list, which is probably an oversight.

i hope miles is just and oversight
but why would you assume that

Assume what?

does it really matter what all these people say. we all know what miles brings day in and day out. the kid can flat out play so who cares if he is just an oversight. guarantee he makes 1st team all conference and is in the running for all-american

it may not matter to you, but i bet this young man after seeing
the list of first teamers was quite dissappointed. if it didn't matter why publish the list at all
it is something to be proud of and down the road his children will be proud of it also. it is an exclamation mark on what kind of player he was

usually when spring starts the coaches put the kids thru certain agility and speed drills. does anyone know what kind of speed this team has and who are the front runners

Look at the bios of the people who picked those teams. You really think people should take them seriously?

not only that, this is preseason projections. they havent even taken a snap in the 09 season yet...him not being picked now is only more motivation for him come fall...and if you know jeromy at all, which i am assuming you dont, he could care less about all these awards. the man only cares about football

you guys are mising the point
tell the 22 guys who made the list
that the guys who selected them dont know what their talking about.
and tell the guy who runs this blog that he shouldn't put the list up because it doesn't matter at all. get your heads out of the sand

There's no reason to be taking the list so seriously.

It is what it is. As with any other list, it is open to dialogue. I think the real preseason lists will reflect how most of us see things. Miles, Cruz, Ducasse, maybe Nelson and Jennings. These are all deserving men.
