after reading the story on coach brown, i wonder where that coaching genius was last year year for Umass. however an inter squad
game really doesn't tell you how your team is going to do in the real world

now he has the intelligent, athletic players that are motivated by large crowds, fan pressure and nfl aspirations. his scheme was little too much for this level of player.

so you blame it all on the players
do you honestly think that brown got everything he could out of the talent that was on the team.
if your opinon is correct , what does it say about this years players and this new coach

In DB's five years he set a record for most wins ever by a UMass squad, won the CAA championship back to back first time ever by any team, got into the playoffs twice and made it Chattanoga once. What the F are you two talking about, DB was a great coach and will be sorely missed. That being said the KM staff is bascially the same as last year's staff and you will see very little difference in coaching philosophies since most of the were under DB for at least five years.

Don Brown was basically a no-show last year,as h mailed it in. Before that he was great-it was obvious the spark was missing last year!! BTW can UMASS advertise season tickets with posters in bars and package stores, convenience stores, etc. The only way they get season ticket holders is to mail out renewals to existing ticket holders!! Let's make it a tough ticket instead of let's see what happens!!

your only as good as your last year
you cant rest on your laurels.the first two guys were right on the money. the fourth guy needs to realize you can be a good coach but can have a bad year. coach browns' last year was nothing to be proud of. i bet if you ask coach , he will tell you the same thing

I hate to say it but DB was looking to get out of UMASS for years!!!!Last year he just showed how much but not showing up. He never interacting with anyone before, during, or after games. He was just wishing for the season to end to make his move. That being said I wish him well, and know that the coaching staff in place now is VERY excited, and looking to bring back a conference title and a National Championship!!
