Friday before BYU--November 18th, 2016

Mrs Blog and I are off on our most awesome UMass road trip ever. We're flying to Utah today and will be attending UMass-BYU. On Monday we head for Honolulu for a week in Oahu. We'll be doing lots of sightseeing ending up with the Minutemen -Rainbow Warriors game next Saturday.

The Salt Lake Tribune says UMass has struggled as an independent.

The Deseret News says fellow independent UMass visits BYU.

Mark Whipple said in a radio interview, UMass could be playing a game at Fenway park.

The UMass charter flight to Provo was delayed due to a bomb threat at Barnes Airport.

Nice human-interest story about Joe Thomas Sr, a player for South Carolina State, who's 55 years old.

The story about Joe Thomas, Sr. is awesome. Thanks for sharing that.
Have a great time out west. Utah is beautiful, and you'll realize that our "mountains" are hills by comparison.

Mrs Blog and I have spent a lot of time in the camping in the Red Rock state. At one time we looked at property in St. George and Cedar City. We like Utah!

Cedar City is a nice little college town. SUU is a nice campus. They host the Utah Shakespeare Festival every summer. A little quiet, but there are some decent restaurants too. BYU has a beautiful setting to watch a game, and the fans are about as supportive of their team as any school in the country. You'll have a great time I'm sure. Have fun! ~MS
