It would be fun to be part ad adding logs to the fire under Addazio’s seat. I wonder if a a competitive game alone would do this. A win by UMass certainly would. Would UMass beating BC be in the same ballpark as when Maine beat us in year one of the FBS era?

I've noticed that the UMass site has been down for several days. I don't know if the athletic dept is planning on a major overhaul of the site? Seemed to be quite good before.

IMHO, Boston College is in serious trouble. They've been dead last in ACC recruiting for a number of years. I'm not sure how much their $200 million facilities upgrade is going to help. They'd be OK in a Group-of-Five league, but as a Power Five school they are going to struggle against state schools with lower academic standards and higher budgets. The Eagles are 33 and 39 over the last 10 years in the ACC. And they went 25-39 over the last 8 years.

Yes the UMass site is down. Even pages like the football roster don't come up.

Let me try those numbers again. 27-39 over the last 8 years. 38-46 over the last 10 years in conference.

If the defense can make plays and if a few guys step up and become consistent playmakers, I'd say that beating BC and finishing with five wins is very possible. Ford (or whoever may be BF's successor) needs to hit the ground running and Young has to stay healthy.
