Friday--December 18th, 2015

UMass picks up a home and home series with Coastal Carolina. This is a good addition by A.D. Bamford. The Chants are another fledgling FBS program. It's a winnable game for UMass. It's far better than another Power Five game. The 2017 schedule is beginning to look attractive for the Minutemen. Hopefully, we can realistically look for a .500 or better season. UMass should be competitive with everyone on the slate except for Mississippi State, Tennessee and BYU.

Dan Malone has a post on the series.

Bob McGovern has some of the contract details.

Mrs Blog and I are seriously thinking about watching UMass play at the Swamp next year. Gator ticket prices are going up.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have a connection with Georgia State. I contribute to a memorial scholarship there. The school thinks I'm an alum and sends me all sorts of stuff.

The Panthers, like UMass have struggled since their move to FBS. However, they had a breakthrough win over old foe Georgia Southern and it's energized their program.

Must have struck a nerve about some of the miserable people on umasshoops board. Eldonade, makes a proclaimation,as if anyone cares what he thinks. Then a couple of other nitwits come along,uz2b-len and of course Mr.Perfect(78), all spend their life trashing UMASS, the players coaches and now looking for attention from other fans.Get lost. This is why it is tough to win at UMASS basketball-not enough fans, and donors. St. Bonnie has more fannies in the seats, even when they are 8-19. Frank,I appreciate your loyalty and constant belief in your team!!

Mrs Blog and I have tickets for seven hoops games this year.

I'm pleasantly surprised so far. Remember they were picked 10th in the A10. I like those shooting guards! Plus they have the best recruiting class in 20 years coming in 2016. All the bandwagon-only fans will be back soon :)

The older I get, the fewer people I admire. One group I always think highly of are the hard corps types...

yea that 78 must be a shut in, whose life must be shallow. he lives on that board trashing umass, we don't need constant critics, we need those who are supporters, good times, bad times and in between. to 78, get lost.
