Dan Malone has three impressions from Ryan Bamford's first press conference.

Bamford says he's not going to shy away from the challenges inherent in the UMass football program.

Chancellor Subbaswamy says Bamford is a marvelous fit for the athletic department.

Matty Vautour reports Bamford will have a full plate issues to deal with. One positive thing about the timing is Bamford will be able to bring in two lieutenants. That should help balance the power of entrenched interests. Being able to have his own team should be a positive for him and for the department.
