I think it makes it really hard for parents and family that want to watch the spring game. spending time with a member of the team just got very difficult. traffic, day off from work, long drive back friday night or spending money on a hotel. The spring game is more about family and friends than students. not thrilled with this.

Yes, discounting the always negative types, this looks like a big step up from previous Spring games.

Tailgating will be allowed, there will be a time for alumni and family to meet and greet the team and then UMass football under the lights with more than a couple of hundred in attendance.

Also, it's my understanding, which is not official, the date was not up to UMass football.

As usual, criticism prevails...
Maybe, just maybe, it wasn't there decision when to have the game?????
I think it will be great to have an organized event like this. Kudos to the football staff and coach morris.
