Looks like a great recruiting class for UMass. Like the big beef on both the D & O Lines.. Does anyone know anything about Korey Davis, Like the fact that he will be wearing Number 5. For that to happen the coaching staff must think a lot of him. Besides the obvious UMass relationships what/who is the significance of number 5 in the past, outside UMass. Korey said he wore number 5 in high school
We are going to have to wait a year for DT Raymond Jones.
The Minutemen also brought in a transfer from a team within the Colonial Athletic Association (Delaware) - Raymond Jones, a defensive lineman. He will have to sit out one year.
Looks like Rhodi also had a good recruiting class.
I wondered about Davis. Currently, Jeromy Miles is wearing #5 and it was his number at Navy. He will be a junior in the fall. I would think it would be his number for two more years, unless he wants to switch.
As for Jones, as I understand it, he's at a community college and will be eligible this fall. He's already sat out a year (this one).
In the article I read Korrey Davis said he would be wearing #5 next year. I was surprised by that statement also, which I ass u me meant the coaching staff gave him the number meaning, they think a lot of his potential.
