This article from September of 2015 features Burton.

Partial quote from a Scout.com article on Burton dated May of 2015:

"Burton has a nice frame and will have no problems packing on weight to his 6-3 frame. He's a mobile quarterback who can run for positive yards but has all the attributes you want to see in a pure pocket passer as well. He has a strong enough arm, throws with accuracy and has nice touch on his deep ball."

UMass is currently Burton's only offer. Drawing interest from BC, Duke, Northwestern, USC and Wisconsin.

I would love for this kid to commit to UMass. We need to get the best in Mass. He would also be a great get, due to the proximity of his school to BC. Many kids in the Eastern Part of the State still have the BC---UMass pecking order. We need to beat BC at recruiting.

His father Steve played QB for Northwestern. His grandfather Ron played RB for Northwestern and the Patriots. His uncles, Ronny played RB, Phil was a punter and his other uncle, I don't remember, all played at Northwestern. His mom was a swimmer at Northwestern and nearly qualified for the Olympic team circa 1984ish???

It's a long shot for UMass given the longstanding Northwestern family legacy there.

His coach is a UMass (Boston) grad and staunch supporter of public schools. If he has the ability to be a legacy at NW that could matter, but don't sell the Minutemen short on this one. They got in early and the timing is right for him to come in and redshirt and earn a starting gig early on in his career.
