Christmas Day----December 25th, 2014

Mrs Blog and I would like to wish all UMass fans, players and coaches "Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas!"

Hope the coming year brings health and happiness to all. I'm still having fun with the Blog after 5,334 posts and I intend to keep it going for another year.

Hope Santa brings us:

  1. A kicker
  2. A 225 pound All-Conference RB
  3. A couple JUCO or BCS transfers for the front seven on defense.
  4. Six wins or better in 2015!

Merry Christmas to you Frank and Mrs. Blog!

As a longtime UMass fan, I have grown accustomed to your great daily posts. Your tireless work keeps me connected to all things UMass football and for that I am forever grateful.

Can't wait to see what good things come our way this next year; six wins and a bowl berth would be awesome. A MAC Championship in our last year there would be unbelievable! 2015 is going to be an exciting ride and I'm reserving my seat on the bus right now!

Merry Christmas and have a happy and healthy New year.
6 wins would be great.

Frank, most would hard to get down the chimney, but I think six wins is going to be a disappointment next year. This is going to be one of the most exciting off seasons in recent memory. Thanks very much for all you do. I love reading your posts. Happy holidays and a healthy and prosperous New Year to you and yours and to all the UMass faithful!

It's been a fun year running the blog. There's a few trolls who hang out, but most of the people who comment have intelligent stuff to say. I get occasional e-mails from ex-players and UMass fans from far away. It's fun hearing from people.

I don't like the message boards because I get frustrated with the "Debbie Downer" types.

We all payed our dues the first two years. I'm excited for the future. Sometimes, the best times are when you're on the way up. I had the most fun during the Calipari Era during the early years with the Midnight ESPN games and we started beating Temple and stuff.

I was watching the Bowling Green-Southern Alabama game and the announcers were saying what a great job Southern Alabama was doing going to a bowl game in only their 6th year in FBS...

UMass has quite a ways to grow yet, but that'll give us lots to talk about!

Frank- Keep the Debbie Downer types away. The hoops board should be shut down with the vile people on there. UMASS fans there just love to trash everyone and everything. These are the same people who have never given a nickel to help UMASS improve the programs. Your board highlights the people and teams. If I wanted only criticism, I would buy The Globe. Bowl game in year 4!! Go UMASS!!
