Happy Winter Solstice Day! The Sun reaches it's lowest point at 17:47 UTC (12:47 EST).

Tomorrow we head towards Spring.

The Bleecher Report says the money received by FCS teams to play FBS games is climbing.

UMass should fill in for Hofstra at Boston College next year and make nearly a milion dollars for two FBS games. With the recession on it would be a smart move.

They absolutely should not play Michigan and Boston College. They will lose 20 players for the season doing that and be 0-2 heading into the real season with no shot for the playoffs. No way should they do that.

Boston College has already replaced Hofstra on their 2010 schedule with Weber State. The announcement was made about three weeks ago.

we dont have the kind of depth needed to play two fbs school. I think it would be unfair for the kids and coaches. The kids dont get a dime of that money.

ask Rocky Hager, BC put a beatdown on them and knocked out their starting qb for 3 weeks with about 10 others.
