It is nice to see the BB program doing well. Because of the small roster size and the few players who actually contribute losing a single player can be devastating while gaining a single player can dramatically improve your team. See the Boston Celtics who has gone from one of the worst teams in the NBA to one of the best merely by adding 2 players.

Building and maintaining a football program for a University like ours makes much more sense. A roster will have between 25-35 effective starters. Losing one or two due to graduation, academics, injury, or accident will have a much lower effect on the team and stability of the the program.

We are investing to much of our limited resources on the basketball program.
