I mentioned the big hit Tyler Holmes put on Octavious Hawkins in the Spring Game. Here it is.

Craig Haley has an article over on The Sports Network about the "Top Ten Quarterbacks in FCS". Four of the ten are in the CAA.

We've talked before about Boston College LB Mike McLaughlin's connections with UMass. Here's a story about his signing with the Ravens.

Speaking about BC, Matty Vautour usually covers UMass basketball recruiting, but this article says that Kellogg offered to local product Dennis Clifford. He later signed with BC.

With the recent rumor of a transfer internaly at the QB spot at Umass...they are undoubtedly going to become a run team.

That is sad, especially with the WR depth that was shown at this years Spring Game.

Kevin Morris is in one heck of a position with the recent transfer. Its optimistic but hopefully he doesn't put on the same rookie show he did last year.

Speak in English. We only have two scholarship players at the QB position who competed for the job last year. Hawkins & Havens. Has Havens publically mentioned that he is looking to transfer?

I understand from a very reliable source that Octavious Hawkins is transferring to a school in NC. Can anyone confirm and what school?

Haven't heard any such rumors of any QB's transferring in or out, so i'm not quite sure why you would assume that all of the sudden UMASS would become a dominant running team. But I can say this, that the Run always sets up the pass and there is nothing wrong with that. Also, I wouldn't be suprised if Hill get's the nod to start this year he impresses me more and more when watching highlight film.

WOW! What a Hit, that's got to hurt a little bit!

They hold scholarships. They have open spots if need be. How do you think Mike Mele and Dan Sherran got full scholarships last year well after recruiting season.

That hit is rediculous, but I question why you even put your QB in that position.

UMass should not run trick plays - period. When was the last time a trick play worked for this offense? You probably have to go back to Whipple's days here. It's embarrassing!

No I think those trick plays worked best during Whipples 3-8 season...remember?
