Wednesday News ---March 3rd, 2010

A Chattanooga columnist hopes the FCS Championship in Frisco is a fiasco.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Remember, the FCS Championship expands to 20 teams this year. Added will be the league champions of the Northeast Conference and the Big South. The move will also add to at-large bids, which should help the deep CAA. William & Mary was left out of the playoffs in 2008 with a 7-4 record include one FBS loss. With two extra at-large bids, a CAA team with that record will likely make the playoffs.

A slow news day on the intertubes. I'll be back tomorrow with a 2010 UMass position review---linebackers.

this staff has to make the playoffs to have a job next season. 20 teams make it and they are one of the highest paid staff's in fcs. time to produce.

Because Appalachian State is often a finalist in the title game those games have been like home games for them with their campus so close by. The new location will make the game more of a neutral site which will only help teams from the CAA.

Why change a great thing (Chattanooga)? Seems politically motivated for some reason....
