Friday News----March 7th, 2010

The ACC plays 13 FCS teams this year, including Richmond, William & Mary and JMU.

Note that Big South member 0-11 Presbyterian gets to play @ Clemson and @ Wake Forrest.

The Big East plays 11 FCS teams this year including Maine and New Hampshire.

Coastal Carolina has been carrying 35 walk-ons on its roster. Now that is being reduced because of title IX considerations. Walk-ons count for Title IX??

Every dollar spent has an impact on Title IX. Walk-ons may pay their own tuition, but they're not free.

Filler moved on and is no longer with the program. So did Haag. He is at assumption. Chamberlain moved to defensive end, the position he played for the last 5 or so games last year. He should compete to start right away with his size and athleticism. Still leaves five kids who started games (holmes, mcintire, mele, adeoba, hunte) (rougly 34 combine including mele's starts at syracuse). Should still be a good group. Duggan also returns as a back-up with playing experience and Nolton played in 3 games and came in last year with a lot of hype.

Too bad about Fuller, but especially Haag. I agree, good group for next year.
