UMass picks up a Penn State Transfer

Bob McGovern breaks the story over on his excellent UMass All-Sports Blog "From Mullins to McGuirk"

UPDATE: I've added an image of Ridenhour (he's #37 in the image above). His Penn State page is here (read it quick before they "sanitize" it)

His Rivals page is here . Another Penn State Blog reports his transferring here .

This is great news! There is going to be some serious battles in the Fall with Smalls, Miles, Robinson, Frreeman, Meggett, Pollard and now Ridenhour looking to get on the field. This should be a dominant position for the Defense this year. Now if we can find one good size D-Lineman to replace Hatchell and let those LB's run.

I think it's highly likely that Michael Hanson 6-2 240 Pd RS Sophomore will start in Hatchell's spot.

The previous poster runs the blog "Black Shoe Diaries" (blogger won't do a link in comments).

I just took a look at it and it looks like a quality blog with a high signal-to-noise ratio.

There are a lot of BAD blogs up in the BCS division---obscenity laced fan rants that contain little to no information.

I'll be reading the BSD in the future.
