Very interesting video from the UMass web site focusing on Coach Liam Coen and the the three QB in camp.

Freshman Andrew Verboys appeared to be wearing #18, which was worn by Matt Quinn last year.

Dan Malone comments on the video and Liam Coen's demeanour as a coach.

Re-read Matty V's article from February about Coen returning to UMass.

I'm telling ya, now's the time to get on board this train. I hear it in Coach Whipple's voice, I hear it in Coach Cohen's voice. I honestly believe that this is going to be a year where we make noise and raise some eyebrows.

We may not end up .500, but I think we will be competitive in over 50% of our games.

Can't wait! Go UMass!

Yeah, that video makes it look like we actually know what we're doing.

Whip is going to need another couple of recruiting classes to catch up with the bulk of the MAC, but I think you're right; we'll play like we belong this year.

Go UMass!

I know timing is everything.....but it is still hard to not think about the seniors who had to endure the past two years..what gains they could have made under this new staff had they had the chance...oh well....good luck to the underclassmen and lets embrace the new and energized feeling that is buzzing around UMass Football...

we were competitive in 50% of our games last year. Are you saying that is the bar? jeesh

We were competitive with Akron, Western Michigan and Miami.

The stats were close against Vanderbilt, but not the score.

Who else?

I had us being competitive in 3 games last year...Miami, Western Michigan and Akron. And no, the bar isn't 50%, it's higher...and that's what my comment said("over 50% of our games").

Hell, I hope we win em all. We won't but I'd be thrilled to be "in" all of them.

Go UMass!
