Future BCS/I-A opponents

In Matty Vautour's latest article (scroll down to the previous blog post) he gives UMass' future BCS/I-A opponents.
May God grant me the grace to be still alive in 2012 when we kick UConn's butt...

Great news!!!

To be able to play the Cons again will be a blast.

I'm going to travel to both the Tech game and the KSU game. I used to live about two miles from the KSU stadium--it's a journey to the Little Apple--but I'll do it.

Thanks for the spring game pictures>

Me too! I had a great time at KSU when we last played them. 58,000 people were really, really quiet when the first quarter ended 7-0 UMass.

On the way out the next morning we stopped a rest stop and there were a bunch of pronghorn antelope about 100 yards away.

I surely will go the Texas Tech and KSU.

The only traffic jams for the whole year are before or after the football games...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this the first time that the UConn game has been confirmend??? I haven't read or heard anything else about it till today.

AFAIK, this was the first confirmed notice that we were playing UConn.

There had been some no details press reports that we were going to play UConn in the future.

I think Matty V. mentioned it once or twice in his various articles, but I do not remember a specific year and date-----just that it was going to happen sometime.

UMass has always played "I've got a secret" with future schedules anyway. Many schools routinely post future schedules. Look at Colgate for instance...

Thanks--I've learned not to believe rumors on message boards...

I'm still amazed how far UMass Football has come in the past ten years.

UMass has some SERIOUS talent. I think we have more athletes than our '98 National Championship squad.

Navy transfer Jeromy Miles is a man. Ten years ago we did not have athletes of that caliber.

I remember a fan at a UMass sports luncheon asking Jim Reid why UMass did not play more nickel defenses.

Reid said---and I quote---"If I had a fifth defense back, I'd play him"
