UMass Football News--October 3rd, 2022

Liberty opens a 25.5 favorite over UMass.

The Flames are probably going to put a dent in UMass' defensive renaissance. Liberty features a mobile QB Kaidron Salter who accounted for 358 yards of offense all by himself against Wake Forest.

In addition, Liberty's defense is excellent too. The Flames defensive line controlled the line of scrimmage all day against the Deacons. Wake Forest rushed 26 times for 21 net yards (a 0.6 yards/carry). Liberty averages 418 yards/game and 5.78 yard/play.

Liberty is going to be a big challenge  Saturday.
