UMass Football News--April 27th, 2022

The Hampshire Gazette reports the UMass linebacker corps is being reshaped.

Let's hope so. I watched the UMass-Coastal Carolina game on my tread mill yesterday afternoon. The full game is available on the internet. The Chants averaged 6.9 yards/carry in a 53-3 Coastal Carolina victory. Coastal did not punt once during the game. The Minutemen were dead last in 2021 in rushing yards allowed a game in FBS.

I had previously watched UMass-Florida State where the Seminoles ran through tackles all day.

Spring linebackers:

Miles Turner 6-1 235

Zududo Igwenagu 6-4 230

Nahji Logan 6-4 225

Gerrell Johnson 6-3 225

Da'Shon Ross 6-1 235

Derrion Craig 5-10 210 Freshman

Dominic Shofield 6-3 240

Mike Saliba 6-0 215

Josh Brunelle 6-0 235

Ethan Dumont 6-0 210
