UMass Football News--November 18th, 2018

Well the Dogs offense led by the #1 recruit in the nation rolled over the UMass defense. Georgia scored every time they had the ball. To their credit, the Dogs took their foot off the gas in the second half. Georgia tried to use the full 35 seconds and mostly they ran the ball abet at 12 yards a carry.

The UMass offense however, did well. The Minutemen moved the ball all game. We had nearly 400 yards of offense. Georgia's defense had given a total of 49 points at home for the season. The previous high for a visiting team was 13 by Vanderbilt.

Then there was Andy Isabella. Quote from the Georgia post game notes:

Sophomore QB #11 Jake Fromm

On UMass wide receiver Andy Isabella, who caught 15 passes for 219 yards and two touchdowns...

I mean, what a player. He did a phenomenal job. It didn’t matter who we put on him, he was finding ways to get separation and get open. He made some plays and I don’t know if he dropped a ball. He did awesome. It seemed like every time they threw it, there he was again catching another ball. Great player, really exciting, really fun to watch."
