UMass Football News--October 5th, 2017

UMass has been losing to some weak teams so far in 2017. The Minutemen's opponents have gone 8-13 against FBS teams. Wins over the Minutemen have accounted for six of the eight FBS win total.

Hawaii 1-3 (UMass the only FBS win)

Coastal Carolina 1-2 (UMass the only FBS win)

Old Dominion 1-2 (UMass the only FBS win)

Temple 1-3 (UMass the only FBS win)

Tennessee 2-2

Ohio 2-1

Georgia Southern fell to 0-4 losing to Arkansas State last night at home. The Eagles triple-option offense does control the clock as they had a substantial edge in time of possession 39.04 to Arkansas State's 20.56. UMass will have to take advantage of limited offensive possessions and score when we have the ball.

GSU was unable to stop Arkansas State's passing game.
