During the weekly coaches show, Brown stated that UMass was going to work on the kicking game during the recent "bye" week.
UMass has had two long returns by Steve Costello called back by penalties. Costello is, in fact, an outstanding kick returner as well as defensive back. If he plays in the pros, that could be one of his assets. One of those returns was in the Colgate game and could have won the game for UMass.
