The 14,000+ fans who went to Homecoming deserve a tip of a hat. The UMass football fan base has been, IMHO, amazingly resilient over the last four years. With near zero positive reinforcement, UMass football fans keep showing up. For example, Liberty who has had tons of success since joining FBS had 21,647 fans for their Homecoming. That was the Flames highest ever Homecoming crowd. The Minutemen's Homecoming crowd looks pretty good in that context. If we win more, UMass fans will show up.

Liberty is a 13.5 favorite over Old Dominion next Saturday.
I don't think UMass has ever beaten a Top-25 team. A Minutemen win in two weeks is unlikely, but within the realm of possibility.
