Mike Traini of "Fight Massachusetts has a post on the new unis.

I like 'em. The "Massachusetts" is similar to hockey jerseys (I think). The script "u" was worn by the
team from 1993 to 2002. It was designed by the coaches of that era. Let's get better before we wear anything fancy. I like the traditional Maroon jersey and white pants for home. I like the all-whites for road work. During our National championship run the Minutemen wore white jerseys and maroon pants on some of the road playoff games.

"Walt Bell is the man to lead the Minutemen to new heights: A long way of saying I think UMass can make its season opener against Rutgers way more competitive than any Rutgers fan wants. Bell is a first-year head coach with a young staff looking to shake things up at a tough place to win, so let's see if he can make the Scarlet Knights sweat a little bit in Piscataway. -- Chip:"
