Friday--July 1st, 2016

Hey, it's July. Fall camp can't be that far away. Even though it's going to be a VERY  challenging season, I'm looking forward to some UMass football.

Above video and the text is from the Gridiron Club. Join now and help Coach Whipple and the staff make the Minutemen into winners.

With the hiring of Joe Connolly, Director of Sports Performance/Head Football Strength and Conditioning Coach, the UMass football strength & conditioning program has taken on a new swagger.  With a focus of reaching peak performance, Connolly leads UMass football student-athletes in getting bigger, stronger, and faster in an effort to compete at the highest level on the gridiron.

Connolly is Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) by the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches' Association (CSCCA) and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).  Connolly is also current competitor in Olympic weightlifting, drug-free powerlifting, Highland games and strongman competitions.

You can also help the UMass football program compete at the highest level by supporting the upcoming UMass Gridiron Club Golf Classic on Monday, July 25th at the beautiful Pinehills Golf Club in Plymouth, MA.  Can't make it?  No worries for there are various opportunities to contribute and support through sponsorship.
