An article by James Townsend of Southcoasttoday.com states that James Gilchrist a 6-4 240 pd DL from Dartmouth, MA will walk-on for UMass in the fall.
Gilcrist's MaxPreps page is here . Gilcrist had excellent stats for a down lineman. He had 46 UT 43 AT 93 TT in 2006.
Defensive tackle is probably the hardest position to recruit. A DT who can play at this level is always a find.
