In my pregame write-up on the New Mexico State game I doubted Taisun Phommachanh's passing ability. Boy was I wrong. His QB efficiency for the New Mexico State game ended up at 153.7, which we have not seen in a while. He also had a 58% completion average. Some other heroes:
- Christian Wells and Anthony Simpson combined for 133 receiving yards.
- Seven different receivers caught a pass.
- Zukudo Igwenagu had five TT and drove an Aggie OL back into the New Mexico State QB for a sack and a FF.
- The UMass OL, on the other hand, gave up zero sacks.
- 22 Minutemen defensive players had at least one defensive stat.
- Freshman LB Tyler Martin had 4 TT and a big TFL.

INFLATION
I was gassing up my rental car in Roswell yesterday and a woman came up to me and said "Can I have $15.00 to get some gas?"

At the game the Aggie students near us kept chanting "F*ck UMass, F*ck UMass".
The UMass fans chanted back "We-are-winning,we-are-winning".
