UMass broke two losing streaks yesterday. The Minutemen stopped the FCS loss streak and also the eight game overall run of losses.
Things improved. Gino Campiotti went 10-15 and had a couple of drops that would have put his total over 100 yards passing. He hit a couple of third-and-longs that kept UMass driving. The one INT was not his fault. It's surely something to build off off. Opposing teams are going to continue to pack the line of scrimmage for the foreseeable future, so the Minutemen rushing will probably continue to be a grind it out game.
The defense held Stony Brook to 3 points, the lowest total since 2008. The defense had 2 SACKS and 4 TFL. They held Stony Brook to 2-14 for third downs.

UMass only had three penalties for 15 yards. All-in-all a good effort and I think we will have a chance for a couple of FBS wins this year.
